Drinking stations - Details

There are six different drinking stations where the forest birds can be photographed from. The hides are partly under the ground, this way we can photograph comfortably from a horizontal level, sitting on a bench. The water reaches the edge of the hide, it gives a full reflection of the birds to be photographed. The activity of the birds extremly inconstant. The birds the most active when it is mating season, from April till June. Often seen the birds landing more than 500 times to drink at the pool on one single afternoon. The short activity period is weather dependent. The movement is less when it is rainy, windy or very hot. The hides are available any time of the day.
